There is generally no harm in having a foot massage and it is a very calming and relaxing therapy there are times and conditions for certain people when they must not use a foot massager. So we should avoid using a foot massager in the following conditions.
When are on a period, pregnant, or just had a baby: You should avoid using a foot massager when you are on your period or just had a baby because your body is kind of fragile at that time and you need to get it to relax first.
Especially when you are in the early stage of your pregnancy you must avoid having a foot massage because if focused on a certain area it can cause uterine contraction and cervical ripening. Caution must be exercised in general while you are in pregnancy as it can cause contractions.
When having a high fever:
Avoid using the foot massager while in high fever because the constant movement can tire your muscles.
When you have open wounds and eczema:
When you have eczema or any other type of open wound do not use a foot massager. Patients with fractures in their foot, having unhealed wounds, or eczema must avoid having a foot massage.
If you have osteoarthritis that can impact the foot or ankle, or those with vascular disease of legs or feet must consult with their doctors first.
When you have a severe fungal infection:
Avoid using a foot massager when you have a severe fungal infection. Because when you have a fungal infection and you have a foot massage it can further cause harm to your feet.
When you have inflammation or bruising of muscles or joints:
when you have inflammation or bruising you must refrain from using the foot massager because the heat produced from the massager can cause further inflammation or the constant vibration can cause the bruises to get worst.
